Introduction
Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Artisan Trackless Fitter to be placed in IvanPlats Plaatreef Mine, Mokopane. The successful candidate will report to the Foreman Engineering.
The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates.

Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
· Maintaining, repairing, overhauling and constructing of mainly TM3 machinery and associated underground operational equipment as well as Hydraulic equipment to standard
· Supervising and training of staff under his/her responsibility
· Planning and arranging that all required maintenance programs on all Site machinery, including all trackless equipment, is executed
· Team and self-understand and comply with M&RC`s policy and procedures, standard and safety protocol
· Proactive risk identification and mitigation in alignment with legal regulations, the client's and M&RC's standards, procedures and policies
· Effective self and team management in alignment with M&RC's values and leadership initiatives
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
· Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4)
· Section 26 Fitter/Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate / MIETTB (Mining Industry Trades Training Board)/ Trade Certificate through a registered body
- Valid Medical certificate of Fitness
· Covid-19 Coronavirus Vaccination Certificate [Site Specific]
- Valid First aid Certificate
- Valid Code EB driver’s license
- Sound verbal and written communication skills in English
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
- 5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- 5 years of mining industry experience (underground and surface)
- Good working experience in fault finding and hydraulics
- Ability to interpret the Hydraulics plan
- Knowledge of Diesel Mechanics, Face Drill, Roof Bolter, LHD`s Utility Vehicle, Manitou’s and LDV
- Experience with Battery Electric Vehicles will be added advantage
