Introduction
Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of HR Assistant Transformation to be placed in Bedfordview. The successful candidate will report to the HR Coordinator Transformation. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.
Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

  • Provide effective administrative services and support to the transformation department in line with legislation, policies, procedures and standards
  • Assist with BBBEE audits and reporting
  • Assist with Employment Equity reporting
  • Assist with training of site Employment Equity Committees, monitor minutes of committee meetings for areas of improvement
  • Conduct verifications / audits against set BBBEE / EE criteria and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders
  • Save and maintain transformation related documentation on the shared drive and in the hard copy filing system
  • Effective engagement and communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transformation needs are met timeously
  • Proactive risk identification and mitigation, escalate timeously if unable to resolve
  • Comply with M&RC’s policies, standards, procedures and safety protocols.
  • Effective self-management and alignment with M&RC values and leadership initiatives

Minimum requirements

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

  • Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
  • BCom or HR related Degree / National Diploma at NQF Level 6
  • MS Office Proficient (Word, Excel)
  • Exposure to an online transformation system
  • Exposure to SharePoint or similar document management system (advantageous)
  • Excellent administrative and report writing skills with attention to detail
  • Numerical skills with ability to perform complex calculations
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to interact at all levels
  • Good English written and verbal communication skills

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience in the field of BBBEE, Employment Equity and Transformation 
  • Experience conducting BBBEE audits and compiling Employment Equity reports will be advantageous
  • Previous experience within an agency environment preferred
  • Good understanding and knowledge of Employment Equity legislation, BBBEE and Codes of Good Practice
  • Exposure to the Mining / Construction Sector Codes will be advantageous
