Introduction
Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Quality Controller to be placed in Matla. The successful candidate will report to the Quality Assurance Co-ordinator .
The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates.

Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
· Cost containment through minimized wastage, accurate, timely, signed-off quality documentation
· Competent, disciplined, motivated and positive team
· Effective self and team management and alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
· Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows
· Thorough audits and inspections in accordance with the Inspection Schedule
. Compliance with ISO 9001, MRC and client's standards, policies and procedures
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
· Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
· Certificate for Introduction to ISO 9001 standard
· Certificate in Basic Auditing
· Valid EB Driver's license
· Proficient in MS Office [Word, Excel]
· Valid First Aid Certificate
· Be fully conversant in English
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
· At least 3 years mining experience with exposure to quality control on a mining
· Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 standards
· Understanding of business management systems in an organization
· Knowledge of basic project management principles, project life-cycles and planning
· Ability to read and interpret a drawing to be able to evaluate implementation and compliance thereto
· Proactive and energetic individual with strong follow-through skills
· Highly organized and systematic with strong attention to detail
· Sound verbal and written communication skills
