Introduction
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Shift Supervisor Diamond Drilling, to be based at IvanPlats Mine near Mokopane, Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the Site Superintendent.
Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Effective self and team management in alignment with M&RC's values and leadership initiatives
- Effective supervision of the diamond drilling crews
- Effective planning, leading, organising, and control within area of responsibility to achieve daily production, quality and safety targets
- Cost containment through effective budget management and efficient target achievement
- Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows and target achievement
- Efficient achievement of production and quality targets in line with DMR and project scope
- Proactive risk identification and mitigation in alignment with legal regulations, the client's and M&RC's standards, procedures and policies
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
- Blasting Certificate of Competency/Trade Certificate/Technical Diploma
- Possess either a recognized Shift Supervisor Certificate (includes Planning, Leading, Organizing and Control) or a Supervisory Skills Certificate
- Competent A
- MS Office Proficient [Word and Excel]
- Good English verbal and written communication skills.
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Charge Hand Diamond Drilling
- Exposure acting as a Shift Supervisor Diamond Drilling would be advantageous.
