Introduction
Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Chief Engineer to be placed in Venetia. The successful candidate will report to the Manager Mine Engineer. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.
Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
·       Co-ordination of M&RC Site Engineer outputs
·       Resource in place when needed to execute work to schedule
·       Quality work carried out to standards, policies, and procedures
·       Accurate look ahead planning to mitigate executive schedule risk
·       Legal compliance and zero harm when carrying out the work
·       Driving rapid resolution of engineering issues
·       Deflect interferences when it affects engineering function productivity

Minimum requirements

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
·       BSc Engineering degree from a recognized institution, B Tech, or National Higher Diploma
·       DMR Government Certificate of Competency to practice as an engineer (GCC)
·       Technical Orientation
·       Valid Driver’s license
·       MS Office proficient including MS Projects
 
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
·       10 years in a senior role hands on managing a large fleet ( 50 units) of TMM or opencast mining fleet and service/repair workshop
·       Managed utilizing an enterprise fleet management system such as SAP, JDE, Karabo, Maximo, Pragma
·       Experience and  knowledge of document management training
