Murray & Roberts Corporate Office invites suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Group Corporate Finance Manager. The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer.
Job description

Reporting
 
  • Management of the group reporting team
  • Review of the consolidation of monthly reporting to Murray & Roberts Limited Board
  • Review of the consolidated quarterly re-forecasts to year-end to Murray & Roberts Limited Board and Murray & Roberts Holdings Board
  • Preparation of the presentation of the quarterly results & re-forecasts to the Murray & Roberts Holdings Board
  • Review of the consolidated Group budget prepared in May of each financial year
  • Review of the interim and final results presentations to investors
  • Review of the annual financial statement of Murray & Roberts Holdings Limited and applicable subsidiaries
  • Management of interim and external audit process
  • Preparation of internal cash flow models for the Group based on actual and business plan submissions.
  • Preparation of financial information for banking requirements in conjuction with Group Treasury .
  • Implementation of system upgrades and ensuring entities are correctly accounting for information on the consolidation system 
  • Ensure compliance with JSE Listing requirements regarding the preparation of interim and final results
  • Provide guidance to platforms regarding changes to accounting standards and implementation of acquisition accounting principles for transactions
  • Attendance of IT Steering Committee
  • Participates in investors and shareholders reviews of six monthly results and attends to financial analysis
 
Corporate Administration
 
  • Review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Management of head office accounting function including creditors payments 
  • Prepartion and presentation of quarterly overhead reporting
  • Review of monthly HFM packs and balance sheet reconciliattions 
 
Mergers & Acquisitions
 
  • Responsible for preparation and review of business valuations for acquisition and divestments executed at Group level
  • Co-ordination of due diligence process with advisors during acquisition or divestments
  • Preparation of presentations to the Murray & Roberts Holdings Board for approval

Minimum requirements

  • Education - Qualified CA (SA)
  • 5 – 7 years post qualification experience in a similar role.
