Introduction
Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Document Controller to be placed in Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will report to the Project Assistant. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.
Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

  • Cost containment through efficient administration and document controls
  • Efficient and timeous document control and project administrative support provided to the engineering design and drafting office
  • Generate system transmittals, issue documents/drawings and file signed off transmittals
  • Update and maintain the drawing requisition and leave registers
  • Assist with processing of goods received notes on JDE
  • Generate requests for internal / external invoices for approval by project leads
  • Accurate capturing of timesheets and financial data within timelines
  • Update and maintain filing systems, manual and electronic
  • Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows
  • Effective controls to ensure data integrity and effective record keeping
  • Effective self-management and alignment with M&RC values and leadership initiatives

Minimum requirements

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
  •          Minimum National Diploma at NQF 6 in Administration or similar
  •          MS Office proficient [Word and Excel essential]
  •          Proficient in Projectwise or similar software
  •          Exposure to an ERP system, preferably JDE
  •          Exposure to Primavera or Aconnex system
  •          Competent in administering an electronic and hardcopy document management system
  •          Strong planning and organising skills
  •          Numeracy skills with ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations
  •          Attentive to detail and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  •          Ability to work and communicate with people at all levels
  •          Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
  •          Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
  •          At least 2 years of experience in the management and controlling of documents/drawings in documentation software systems
  •          At least 2 years of experience administering a document control system in a project management environment
  •          Understanding of document libraries, revision status and document issue control
