Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
• Engineering installations are constructed according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
• Engineering equipment is maintained according to agreed standards and schedules
• Engineering equipment is repaired according to agreed standards and schedules
• Compliance with SHEQ, M&RC and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols
• Cost containment, high mean time to failure after repairs
• Effective stakeholder engagement
• Competent, motivated, disciplined and positive team
• Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
Minimum requirements
• Section 26 Auto Electrician Trade Certificate / MIETTB trade Certificate through a registered body
• Contract of apprenticeship signed off by employer and Department of Manpower
• Valid First aid Certificate
• Valid Code EB driver's licence
• Able to solve problems within agreed standards, policies and procedures
• Sound interspersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills in English
• Able to make decisions within agreed parameters
• Medically fit to work underground (including HTS, RFA)
• Clear criminal record
• 5 years trade experience as a Auto Electrician on underground TMM equipment
• Basic knowledge of LHD, Dump trucks and Drill rigs, Roof Bolter [Site Specific]
• Basic knowledge of AARD Manitou, UV & Scaler Bolter [Site Specific]
• Previous work on Epiroc and AARD TMM clear understanding of the CANBUS systems will be an advantage
