Introduction
Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Scheduler to be placed in Venetia Mine, near Musina Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the Planning Manager
The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates.

Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Timely, accurate, thorough completion of work package schedule in line with M&RC and client quality standards, policies and procedures
- Effective stakeholder engagement to acquire information to develop plans and schedules that represent the least amount of variance from reality
- Accurate interpretation of mining, construction and structural drawings that informs scheduled, ensure no rework or cost implications due to negligence
- Accurate, timely, relevant complete inspections,adminstrations and reporting
- Collaborate timeously with the project mining/construction team and client representatives for proper communication of timing and compliance to the scheduled work
- Proactive risk identification and mitigation in line with standards, procedures, policies and safety protocols
- Effective self-management and alignment with M&RC values and Leadership initiatives
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
· Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4)
· National Diploma at NQF Level 6 in Construction/Engineering/Architecture or related technical field
· Proficient in MS Office ( MS Projects essential)
· Proficient in Primavera or similar planning/ scheduling drawings
· Able to interpret construction, mining and structural drawings
· Analytical, systematic and attentive to detail
· Observant and perceptive
· Sound self-management (planning, scheduling and organisational) skills
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
· Minimum 5 years of mining and/ or construction experience with exposure to planning and scheduling on a mining project
· Knowledge of ISO9001 standards and quality assurance principles
· Knowledge of SANS standards and specifications
· Basic understanding of mine planning and scheduling, planning processes and standards
