Introduction
Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Artisan Electrician to be placed in Mponeng ,Carltonville. The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Foreman.
The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates.

Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- 5 years or more mining industry experience (Underground – Epiroc TMM)
- 5 years of trade experience as an Electrician on underground power reticulation system
- Knowledge of the pilot wire systems
- TMM experience (preferred)
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
• Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
• Section 13, 26D Electrical Trade Certificate / MIETTB (Mining Industry Engineering Trades Training Board)
• Trade Certificate through a registered body
• Contract of Apprenticeship signed off by employer and Department of Manpower
• Mine based technical certifications (e.g. Electrical LV and MV field)
• Valid First Aid Certificate (Essential, if not available, must obtain at on-boarding)
• Valid Code EB driver's license
• Sound interpersonal andcommunication (written and verbal) skills in English
• Medically fit to work underground (including HTS, RFA)
• Clear criminal record

• Engineering installations are constructed according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
• Engineering equipment is maintained according to agreed standards and schedules
• Engineering equipment is repaired according to agreed standards and schedules
• Compliance with SHEQ, M&RC and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols
• Cost containment, high mean time to failure after repairs
• Effective stakeholder engagement
• Competent, motivated, disciplined and positive team
• Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
• Engineering equipment is maintained according to agreed standards and schedules
• Engineering equipment is repaired according to agreed standards and schedules
