Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Senior Shift Supervisor Mining to be placed in Mponeng mine, Carletonville. The successful candidate will report to the Mine Overseer. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• Effective daily supervision, planning, organising and control within area of responsibility to achieve daily production, quality and safety targets within budget
• Management of materials, consumables and explosives within tolerances for total section
• Accurate, timely, thorough reporting in line with the DMR, M&RC and client requirements
• Managing team performance and ensuring a competent, motivated and positive team
• Effective team and self-management in alignment with M&RC values and leadership initiatives
• Monthly planning and measuring of total section
• Development and mining construction for total section
• Proactive risk identification and mitigation
• Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows and target achievement
• Self and team understand and comply with M&RC and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols
