Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Artisan Fitter to be placed in IvanPlats Platreef Mine Mokopane, Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the Foreman Engineering. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.

• Engineering installations are constructed according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications

• Cost containment, high mean time to failure after repairs

• Grade 12
• Section 26 Fitter/Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate / MIETTB Trade Certificate through a registered body
• Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• Valid Code EB driver's license
• Sound verbal and written communication skills in English

• 5 year's mining industry experience (underground and surface)
• 5 year's trade experience as a TMM Fitter
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, conveyors and inspections [Advanced preferred]
• Ability to interpret the Hydraulics plan
• OEM training on specific machines
• Knowledge of Diesel Mechanics , Vertical Shaft Jumbo, Excavator fault finding and repair, LHD's, Utility Vehicle, Manitou's and LDV
