Introduction
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Driver EC, to be based at the Bentley Park near Carletonville, Gauteng. The successful candidate will report to the Foreman Engineering Raise Drilling.
Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
 
  • Transportation and loading support mainly for material / equipment movement within a prescribed area
  • Complete log books and checklist accurately
  • Adhere to correct load distribution
  • Report vehicle abuse, defects timeously
  • Vehicles are clean and maintained to standard
  • Responsible for the safety and health of employees within area of responsibility
  • Work in line with safety regulations and adhere to M&RC’s standards, policies and procedures
  • Be prepared to sometimes work outside of normal working hours.
  • Effective self-management in alignment with M&RC’s values

Minimum requirements

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
  • Grade 12 or NQF level 4 equivalent
  • Valid EC Driver’s License (Essential)
  • Professional Driving Permit (Essential)
  • Hi Ab (Crane) Licence (Preferred)
  • Advanced drivers licence (Preferred)
  • Good communication and organising skills
 
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
 
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience as a licensed EC Driver
  • At least 2 years of experience in operating / driving mobile equipment.
  • Understanding of correct load distribution on vehicle
