Introduction
The QA/QC officer will be responsible for capturing, reviewing and maintain the control of project quality documents . Successful candidate will also Interpret, build upon and comply with company and client quality standards, carefully maintain non- conformance processing through records and tracking systems. He or she will also document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits Avoid unnecessary work deviations or non-conformities
Job description
Key Performance Indicators:
- Control and distribution of all quality documentation on site
- Monitor all quality related activities on site
- To ensure quality inspections are done in accordance to the stages of construction activities
- Monitoring of construction activities
- Elimination of issues to ensure client requirements are continually met
- Attend all site meetings
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the QC management system on site
- Manage the document process
- Co-ordinate quality inspections with client and/or contractor
- Co-ordinate with the client representative and Employer on all quality matters
- Co-ordinate all receiving inspections
- Distribute relevant QC documentation to supervisors and contractors and ensure Transmittals are kept on the Quality Files and Folders
- Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable requirements and standards as per the agreed QC and ITP process between the client and the Employer
- Participate in site internal and external audits
- Co-ordinate all the quality inspections through the Client’s Site Representatives
- Ensure all quality control documentation is completed and signed for as-built hand over.
- Ensure that AS Built Drawings are issued by the design engineers.
- Ensure all quality data packs are completed, signed and submitted for invoicing progressively
- Control all non-conformance reports and undertake remedial action
- Update NCR Register
- Review the client’s specification, drawings and Design packages and ensure Supervisors comply
- Co-ordinate with the Construction Manager on all quality issues
- Ensure that quality records, inspection check sheets, acceptance certificates, hand over certificates, completion certificates and the documentation for specific activities are prepared and collated in accordance with the project requirements
- Co-ordinate with the SHEQ and Project Managers for the completion of as-built hand over documentation
- Resolve any discrepancies between the completed milestones and quality documentation submitted
- Participate in the reviewing of supplier’s and contractor’s inspection and test plans against the scope of work
- Assist Supervisors and contractors to compile documentation for handover
- Monitor and control the status of punch lists and exception lists
- Provide progress data to the Construction Manager in a Monthly Quality Report

Minimum requirements
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a QC officer in the Construction Industry
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the Renewable Energy field of Wind Farms
- Good Administrative skills
- Computer literate
- Valid Driver’s license
- Must be able to work independently as well as within a team
- Experience with internal and external audits
Qualifications:
- Diploma or similar qualification in Civils or Electrical
- ISO 9001:2015 (advantageous)
